About Me

I'm originally from the French countryside, on the border of Geneva, Switzerland. I grew up as an active nature-loving person, using my free time to hike, snowboard, camp, sail, bike... More recently I've gotten into climbing (mostly indoor) and I really enjoy it.

I lived in the United States for a while to study in upstate New York. I then moved to New Orleans to work for a while. I highly recommend you visit that city if you get the chance to go to the United States. It's a wonderful and soulful city, full of music and love despite the hardship. I recently moved back to Paris, France and am now doing research as an economist for the labor movement (long live the workers!). I have a strong focus on the energy sector, and strive to understand how the world works and how to change it so it can serve everyone.

I love to travel around the world, most of the time alone, and discover new places and people, one adventure after the other ! I mostly take time to relax, observe, reflect and generally be curious, something that is so hard to do in our daily life. Discovering different realities and life experiences reminds me to stay humble as I grow and learn.

The best way to visit a city is to have nowhere to go and let the streets guide me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've never had a bad experience with couchsurfing. It is a place of respect and good intentions. Everyone I've hosted or that has hosted has taught me something. We don't often get the chance to meet people this different from ourselves with an open heart and an open-mind, and I truly cherish this about couchsurfing. It is also fantastic to discover a city with a local, or more generally a companion, who can show you the spots and give you a perspective you might have never had as a regular tourist.
