About Me
Hello! I love traveling, exploring new places, meeting new people, and learning about other cultures. I study German Literature and History. I am active and enjoy hiking, biking, and playing tennis. Go Serena!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Coachsurfing is great because you can learn about other people's cultures. After visiting Europe, I am aware that there are many positive and negative aspects to every country. I would rather spend time with someone who knows something about her/his city or region than sitting at a hostel/hotel with boring people on computers.
Interests
Ice Hockey, tennis, hiking, enjoying good food, reading, and film. Discussing literature, politics, architecture, and art. I am opened minded to discussing other topics that people want to introduce. It is impossible to have an interest that is not interesting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last winter, in the desolate town of Talkeetna, Alaska I was determined to show my friends from France, Germany, Czech Republic, and Malaysia where the Aurora was. There is one spot out of the town along the river where you have a better chance of spotting the lights. Anyway, we had been waiting for the lights to come out for 4 hours, when I finally thought that we should check this spot by the river. We ended up seeing a superb light show, and beat the tourists groups with real guides. So, if you want to see the Aurora in Alaska, I know the spots!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Why many American stereotypes are wrong. Positive things from my culture, although it is true that organic food is absurdly expensive.
Learn: About the person, cool spots to see in your city, your favorite thing to do, simply about yourself.
Share: Fun, a laugh, good times, and a deep philosophical discussion when everyone is wasted.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Talking about literature, art, sports, you name it. Discussing our experiences in the world. Sharing facts about Alaska and the USA that the host is curious to learn about. Of course, I will respect the rules of a clean house, and as a guest I should not be here to disturb your daily life and plans.
