I am Alec, American, born and raised in the States. I am a music student and a full time assistant manager at T-Mobile selling cell phones. I love to travel, and as I am getting older find myself wanting to go out more and more. I work quite often, and go to school too, so I am always busy. But I am very big into music and playing guitar when I am off, thankfully I am going to school for it, so that helps with time. Other than that I just honestly like to relax and have a good time, meeting new people and going places is something I consider a large goal in my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a solo traveler and on my way to EUROPE! For the first time! I have traveled solo across the U.S. and couchsurfed a few times, but nothing like this. I am heading to Spain, France, and Italy and trying to save money on hostels while at the same time meeting locals and experiencing the town I am in. I have had great experiences couchsurfing and would love to try it again.

Interests

MUSIC is the first big one, I am a music student. I play guitar and could talk about all things music for hours. Food, beer, great sites, meeting local people and especially hearing local music I am also interested in. Anything with a great view. Long chats with strangers about life, haha. Traveling solo is always an eye opening and soul searching experience for me, I love it, and my brother who is older is the exact same way, I probably got it from him.

Music, Movies, and Books

Huge blues guitar guy, John Mayer, Jimi Hendrix, SRV, Eric Clapton, all those guys. Love guitar. Into many many kinds of music though, anything from classical to rap if it's good it's good. It would take hours to list all my favorite artists and songs, but John Mayer and his live guitar playing is at the top of my list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled across the United States in my car by myself hitting almost every major city. Sleeping in my car in Wal-Mart parking lots, couchsurfing with random people. It was super fun and an enlightening experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

First off, respectable attitude, cleanliness, and out of your way by the early morning. It is your home, your rules. On top of that, I am easygoing, outgoing, love to laugh and have a good time. I want to hear your stories and I hope you'd enjoy hearing mine. I'd be interested in learning about your local culture, and it would be great if you would like to go have a beer. I can also help cook, clean, whatever, a place to stay is appreciated.
