✨My FAVOURITE type of person is someone open-minded and has many stories to share and is willing to spend some quality time together. I follow a few STEPS that I now go by if you are interested in sending me a couch surfing request. Reasons for me following these steps were from past experiences that I've had with hosting couchsurfers.

👍 Send me a proper couchsurfing request. What I mean by that is DO NOT SEND ME A PERSONAL MESSAGE WITHOUT A REQUEST (((((PLEASE, DON'T FORGET THE DATE))))) if you are trying to send in a couch request.

👍 Tell me why you are interested in surfing at my house. Whether you have the same interests as me or not, or even just something simple like if I have black hair it doesn't matter what it is. I like to socialise with different people. I like people from all different cultures, backgrounds, nationalities and/or races, etc.

👍 When sending me a request explaining why you want to surf into my home don't simply just say "I need a place to stay". While I do agree that couchsurfing is to stay at someones home I believe there is more to couchsurfing than just that. I like to know a better reason WHY.

👍 If I accept you and you do not end up coming to my house by any reason then please let me know in advance at least a few hours before. There have been some occasions where I accept a person into my house, they don't end up coming over and they have always let me know that they will not make it to my house. No big deal but please do keep me updated and think about the other people who can have got hosted, instead. Anyhow, life goes on. It's all good buddy!

I always do my best to be as much FLEXIBLE as possible because in the end we're all human beings and especially when we're travelling something unexpected may come up ;)

It may sound repetitive but it has completely changed my LIFE thanks to having met so many BEAUTIFUL SOULS! It's pure MAGIC because every time is different now thanks to this amazing COMMUNITY, lots of original and cool PEOPLE from all over the WORLD! To be honest, I wish I had known about this site before as well as many other things about life but it's never too late! :)

Even way bigger than my references say despite not everybody leaves you one. But most importantly, I'm not only keeping them in my HEART but all the CS are a real pain :) An unforgettable crazy couchsurfer and an amazing guest that we hosted once said: ''the person who created CS should be awarded by the Nobel Peace Prize for cultural exchange.'' Needless to say, I fully support this statement ;)

No matter what always POSITIVE and you become much more TOLERANT (try to be flexible, always smile and take life with a pinch of salt and let go of fear)!!! Everybody I've met (and I meet) in CS encourages me to travel abroad and taste the CS experience on both sides of the game (hosting and being hosted).

I like welcoming surfers as if they were old friends and try to stay with them most of the time if it's possible for me. And yes, it can be very tiring sometimes but it's always a really nice reason for being tired :)

So far, I have managed to eat all the huge amount of yummy pasta that a generous Australian surfer cooked for us and now she has a lovely family so congratulations my friend :)

Overall, I have grown up and learned a lot thanks to all couch surfers that I have hosted and met over the last few months. Definitely, an unforgettable, priceless and unique experience. Regardless of how many times you've hosted and/or being hosted and also people you've met!!!

PS: I have made some really good friends thanks to my couch surfing experience and met one of the most interesting persons in my life. However, I would say that things are changing from what CS was when I signed up [a while ago]: CS is becoming more and more popular, which is causing that so many new people who have NO IDEA about what is this about, are joining just trying to take advantage of the host finding accommodation for free. Needless to say, we CANNOT tolerate it, we CANNOT allow them to spoil such a beautiful and helpful project. We must remind these people that CS is NOT a way to get a HOSTEL for FREE, but an amazing chance to get into the true-real city through someone who's living in that city.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Well, far too many: I haven't swam yet with SHARKS but I've done many CRAZY things for LOVE, instead! :)

🐎One of them might be: being able to run two MARATHONS and lots of popular races or get lost several times going for a 'short run' when I was visiting a foreign country :) Also, a while ago I went out for a long run with one crazy and hilarious American surfer :) On the way back, I shouldn't had probably sped up that much while we were running up a slightly steep bridge. Unfortunately, she got lost chasing me with one of our bicycles while I was running. So, I decided to keep looking for her because in all fairness, I was tremendously worried about her since she didn't know the area and it was getting dark. After looking for her for quite a while I went back home to check on her and thankfully saw that she had come back sound and safe. Afterwards, we couldn't stop but laughing at each other! 😄

Also, living and working in DUBLIN (Ireland) is something impossible to describe and the first that I was abroad as well as walking on the cliffs of MOHER, Galway. Amazing!!! 🌈🌺🌊🌼

Another remarkable thing might also be the fact of being an ERASMUS student in the multicultural Sheffield (UK) and working in London which turned out to be one of the best experiences I've ever had in my whole life. I experienced amazing things and met lots of great people from all over the world! 🌅

Oh, and I can chew gum and walk at the same time!

🏠I can offer to my HOSTS:

🎓 CAN SHARE: Self-improvement, Spanish, French, English, time management, cooking skills (mostly SPANISH CUISINE) and SPORTS activities (running, salsa-bachata-merengue and kizomba dancing, boxing, trekking, cycling and squash).

Also, I will never, never, never say 'no' to salsa, bachata or kizomba LESSON (it doesn't matter if I'm the teacher or the 'student'). Indeed, more than once we've taught our surfers how to dance (salsa and bachata) in the kitchen or in the living room before going to the salsa club :)

I have a diverse range of interests and I have a lot of great stories and experiences which I would love to share with the people I meet although I can be independent if needed. Thus, I love having intellectual debates (that may be a pro or con depending on your preferences 😆) As I said before, I also love COOKING, and I would be happy to prepare a meal or we can cook together 🥳

🤸‍♂️To the HOSTS concerned with the budget traveller etc, I am NOT simply looking for free accommodation, and I can assure you that if your reading this to decide about hosting me I've read your profile, probably twice. I'm used to living in places with people coming through all the time and I know what it's like to host even if my CS profile does not show it. I'm happy to help clean, cook, buy groceries, take you out for a drink. It's not about money. I simply try the best I can, each day, one step at a time.

🤓I'm a bit of a geek and am eternally seeking self-enrichment. Books are things I couldn't live without. Fiction all across the board with an emphasis in early American literature lately. I also read lots of non-fiction, gravitating to anthropology with an emphasis on food systems.

Low impact guests, can be very social or keep to my own devices. Clean and willing to participate in the chores of life. Circumstantial chameleon I suppose. It can be quiet or carry a conversation.
