About Me

I'm a simple person, fed up with the normal way of living of going to work for someone else to an office for 8+ hours a day everyday and like many others here I fell in love with traveling. I found this love relatively late in my life although I always wanted to do it since I can remember, but got caught with the idea that unless you're rich you can't do it, however this changed when I decided to make my first solo trip, which was a great learning experience and ultimately led me to the path of traveling, and I've been doing it on and off for the last 2 years around my own country, all while preparing for a major 6+ months backpacking through South East Asia, which will be my first time out of my country, and boy I'm excited about it!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Originally I signed up for this because I wanted to meet travelers from all over the world while I prepared for my own travels, unfortunately though I don't live in a place where many travelers like to stay plus I'm usually unable to host people so it hasn't really worked out as planned, however now that I'm about to leave on an extended trip of my own I'm hoping I can meet lots of local people to learn about their culture, lifestyles, and make friends, and of course share about my own culture. I've come to believe that it is through these kinds of cultural exchanges that we can grow to be better people and a better species, and human kind really needs to improve itself a lot if we're going to survive for much longer.

Interests

Traveling obviously, learning new languages, reading, I love music too, particularly good old 60s rock music, blues and jazz, I like hanging out outdoors, takign hikes and just generaly spending time with nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Who, The Doors, Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Oasis, Coldplay, Led Zeppelin, John Mayall, and more like them.
Movies: I'm not really that much into movies but I've liked Star Wars (old movies), The Lord of the RIngs, others like them, like I said I'm not really into movies, I prefer tv series and anime.
Books: The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarilion, The Dark Tower saga, Asimov's science fiction novels, etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming with a whale shark was amazing, though I kinda wish I didn't because the experience seemed to put a lot of strain on the poor shark, something I guess I should've known before hand but didn't.

Also helping baby turtles to get to the sea and begin their first great voyage, I hope those guys are still swimming somewhere.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I'm not much of a teacher sadly though I like helping others and I can help with Spanish or English learning.

I want to learn everything about our world hahah, it's too much I know, but be awesome if it could be done and wishing for it is the first step to accomplishing at least part of it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A great disposition to helping you if you need it, I'm really here to have cultural exchanges, so I would like to hang out and learn from your lifestyles while telling you about my culture and the lifestyle I had back at home, I'm not here just to get a free couch for a single night.
