Overview
About Me
I try to approach life with a pretty open mind, and believe that every place is worth visiting at least once. I love travelling as a way to explore the world, meet people, and see how all the influences throughout history have shaped each place into what it is today.
I recently completed my MBA at the University of Iowa and will be heading to Chicago at the end of July to start work at a consulting firm. In the mean time, I'm reading a lot, enjoying the Iowa summer, and getting ready to go on a bike trip around lake Michigan.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I haven't used couchsurfing for a couple years, but would love to get back connected with the community. In the past I have stayed with hosts in Latin America and Europe, and hosted briefly when I lived in Chicago.
Interests
I love talking about great food, drinks, music, books, travels...but really I like to think I can have a conversation on just about anything. I really enjoy learning more about the world, the people that call each place home, and what creates and defines the culture that helps makes each place unique.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy fiction from the first half of the 20th century - Steinbeck, Heller, Hemingway etc. as well as non-fiction travel. Bill Bryson and Anthony Bourdain are huge influences for me.
