My name's Alecs, I'm a teacher and an independent filmmaker. I live in Ciudad Juárez, border town with El Paso, Texas.

I consider myself a friendly and an open mind guy. I'm very sociable, sentimental and expressive. I'm also kind, very entertaining and deeply passionate while conversing about almost every topic, particularly movies . I love animals, especially dogs and raccoons. I have a dog, his name is Tofu.

As I said, I really, really love films. My favorite directors and writers include Spike Jonze, Michel Gondry, Nicolas Winding Refn, Noah Baumbach, Wes Anderson, Mike Mills, Paul Thomas Anderson & Alexander Payne.

I can teach English & Spanish or give you a quick Film Production intro.

I could learn any language you'd be willing to teach. I’m currently learning French. I speak some.

I can share my experience as an independent filmmaker or my experience with a plant based diet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could definitely show you around the city, all of its typical restaurants (so you can try good local food, both vegan and non-vegan), touristic spots, current cultural events, museums, public parks, we could go bar hopping (if you're into it), it all depends on what's your style.

I'm also an experienced English and Spanish teacher, so we can practice any of these languages if you feel like it. I can also have long and deep conversations about movies!

Plus, all of my friends are fluent in English and Spanish, so if you speak any of these two, forget about communication issues.
