About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Bring my Turkish to fluency :-) and many more :-)
ABOUT ME
I was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 1994, during the war in our country we moved to Germany. We left everything behind, our last suitcase before crossing Austrian border and arrived to Cologne only with little money and the clothes we wore that day. I was 13. To settle down and understand the language was my family's biggest challenge. We made it and now there is almost nothing I am afraid of. I think that this early experience has influenced a lot my way of thinking and my point of view on the world and people. Humanity and essential things of the life play an important role in my thinking and acting.
I am extrovert, curious, stubborn, adventurous, LOVE to try and do things I haven't tried or done before, interested in and inspired by people. Find out the rest by yourself! :-)

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: I like the books which bring you to another place, like "The Thousand Splendid Suns" and "The Kite Runner" from Khaled Hosseini, "eat pray love", right now I read Tolstoy's "Ana Karenina" and I enjoy it a lot. I also like books of Ex-Yugoslavia's autors. My favourite is "Death and the Dervish". It is written by Mesa Selimovic. Some of the main themes in his works are the relations between individuality and authority, life and death, and other existential problems.
Music: Pop, Rock, Salsa, I love oriental instruments and songs in Spanish.
Movies: There are two movies I have seen tree times: "Dirty Dancing" and "Life Is Beautiful" :-)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too many, but the last one I was really impressed by was the burning ceremony in Varanassi, the holy city on the holy river Ganges (INDIA).
