About Me

I'm a web developer/photographer from California and I love all things surrounding art and culture. I'm extremely passionate about music and theatre and while I've taken a break from performing, I'm planning on getting back into it soon. I have a constant wanderlust and try to seize any opportunity to travel I can, even if it's just for a few days. I'm also a sucker for animals. My family and I rescue dogs, so I have an extreme soft spot for pretty much any dog I meet!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't pick just one...carrying a sloth two young boys picked off a tree on the side of the road in Costa Rica and the 2010 Shanghai World Expo!

Teach, Learn, Share

Talk to everyone; it was a habit we inherited from our mom. From that day on, we relied solely on residents for basic information about everything--ATMs, exchange rates, transportation, cultural do's and don'ts, in addition to recommendations for a "true" experience. The conversations opened us to a different world. If we were specific in our questions and desires, the best recommendations usually far surpassed those found in the books. Like the curbside restaurants in Vietnam that served heaping bowls of tofu soup for thirty cents...or the crumbling but still breathtaking mountain temples off the tour bus stops. Karma travel, we dubbed it, spontaneous journeys shaped solely through contacts and feel.
