About Me
Hi! I'm Aleesha and here's what you need to know about me;
I grew up on the Sunshine Coast, Australia and moved to Berlin when I was 17. I've been living in Berlin for the past three years now, in Kreuzberg, with two of my very good friends. I tend to not follow the general 9-5 lifestyle and take on a lot of odd jobs; I love making and selling my own jewellery, working as a camp director, an English teacher, I dog/baby sit and provide an all-round fun atmosphere!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel and experience the heart and soul of other countries and their cultures. Having grown up with German parents has allowed me to appreciate the difference in cultures and lifestyles and given me a curiosity to explore more of the world.
My roomates and I also love to host couchsurfers and I would be more than happy return the favour of accomodation in Berlin to anyone I stay with in other parts of the world.
I look forward to meeting you and getting to know your country!
Music, Movies, and Books
I love a wide range of music but generally my favourites are hip hop/rap, house and lo-fi house, techno (heavily influenced by my Berlin lifestyle ;) and a lot of the oldies.
I'm the kind of person that rereads chapters of books over and over again but never finishes, so it's hard for me to list a favourite book. It's a mixture of everything I've read in their own way.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moving to Berlin at such a young age and working as an aupair has probably contributed the most to my life. It taught me to be very independent, self-aware and resilient and has benefited me more than anything else in my life.
My mum and I also once got stuck in an elephant cage which is pretty amazing too.
