About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My partner Adrian and I are going to be traveling the world for 6 months. This is our first time outside of Latin America, though we have been traveling together for over 13 years. We choose to regard the world as a place of friendship and cooperation. :)
I have been working as a certified primary school ESL teacher in both public and private schools for over 10 years, even though I live exhausted, I love what I do and experience it as a very rewarding way to make a living. Adrian works for the local administration of the city and helps make Montevideo a cleaner place.
We were part of a murga for 10 years (a group of around 17 people who perform a show which combines singing and acting with a critical and humorous point of view about the country's current issues. It's the main category of the Uruguayan carnival contest)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe culture is a way to achieve an understanding of others, and traveling is an opportunity to witness and experience how people think and feel in contexts different from my own. I am in love and amazed by the diversity of this world.
Interests
I love art, music and we are interested in getting to know the folklore of the cultures we visit. We would be thrilled to stay with pets we live with the cutest dog you can imagine! Her name is Nina and leaving her behind is the most difficult part of going away (she is with our family, enjoying the company of other pups she plays with all day long. We miss her more than she misses us, thankfully).
