ABOUT ME

So..i am an MSc student in Rotterdam for the time being.I come from Thessaloniki though, which is a wonderful place to visit in Greece,with 2500 years of history,lots of students and great nightlife!For starters,I consider myself to be quite easygoing...i love cooking greek food and sharing a greek dinner over wine.I tend to smoke occasionally...but i could smoke outside if it bothers you.Having lived on my own for 4 years in Komotini during my studies and 6 months in Tours,France for my Erasmus, i truly believe i know what sharing accommodation means.I have travelled a lot around Greece and Europe by all means and i totally respect the idea of couch surfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm just a surfer...i've never hosted anybody else except my friends since nobody wanted to come to Komotini..In Thessaloniki i was living with my parents and now i will just have to talk about it with my new flatmates.I have been hosted though in various occasions,not only via Couch Surfing,especially during my stay in France when i travelled a lot around the country!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The best moment i recall from my couch surfing experience was in Paris,summer 2010.I had just left Tours,France with all my luggage from my Erasmus semester and i was planning to visit my brother,who at the time was working at the University of Padova.I was with my friend Marta from Italy,so we were supposed to take the early train from Paris to Milan together.Only by the time we arrived in Paris we realized that there was a strike and we would have to stay there for 2 days having nowhere to sleep at night.Fortunately i kept the phone number of a couch surfer i came in touch some other time i visited Paris.Dimitri and Sylvie helped us without even thinking about it and they put us up for 2 days,although they had work to do,until we could catch the next train to Italy!So i made it to Milan but when i arrived there was a strike there as well!!!But that's another story i will tell you if we share a couch sometime...

Música, películas y libros

Books about philosophy and politics of course...but i wouldn't say no to a good novel(first author that comes in mind Irwin Yalom)...oh,and i loved the Dune.
Movies...I've had enough with Asian Epic movies and i can't stand Pazzolini...otherwise i just love cinema,especially Guy Ritchie,the Cohen Brothers,Fatif Akin...and many others.I can't find a favorite Movie but i can think of Fargo,Snatch,Fight Club,Soul Kitchen,Lock,stock and two smoking barrels,Pulp Fiction,In The Name Of The Father
Music...a lot of types of music but especially interested in Balkan Music and some house or electro.

I don't like people who believe they know everything just because they are older than you are or they have travelled more than you have and therefore choose a solo way of acting or living...I enjoy people willing to share experience in a positive way with respect to another's opinion,realizing that in ones life you can only achieve through unity and common fight!
