COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Being a new member, I had just a few couchsurfing experience. I had the pleasure to host:
May 2011: Sylvain introduced the rainbow movement.
June 2011: Katrina shared her passion for improvising trips loaded with energy.
June 2011: Julie and Julie taught me that archeology was much more than Lara Croft and Indiana Jones.
August 2011: Martin and Charlotte prepared a map of Greece's
secret islands.
October 2011: Liko revived my passion for the oceans.
November 2011: Aline will make me go to Brasil.
January 2012: Shadow of the wind proved me that you can insulate a truck with wool and how to play a mafia game with cards.
January 2012: Ben explained that you need more than an hour to give birth to a sealion.

I believe that passionate locals are always the best ambassadors of their city:
June 2011: Thanks to Ece, we smoked hookah under the galata bridge, tried our first fish sandwish and discovered Haci Bekir's loukoums. Timur brought us at taksim's hot spots including my favourite street food place: Golden Kokorec.
September 2011: Marina introduced us to the beauties of Belgrade and presented us to her friends that all together turned our week end tour into great memories.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love hearing at roots, reggae, funk, merengue, cumbia, gypsy jazz...

The trilogy of Oro, Parodie and Sahara writen by Cizia Zyke really impressed me. The journals of Dan Eldon named "The journey is the destination" have been inspiring me. I did a pilgrimage in Mumbai during the Ganesh Chaturthi after the reading of Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. I liked many books about mafia such Mafia brotherhoods, Mc Mafia, Mafia Princess or the Mammoth book of the mafia. I also laughted reading Limonov of Emmanuel Carrere.

My favourite TV shows are House of Cards, Breaking Bad, Les Revenants, Braen and Sherlock Holmes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2004, we tasted some Chinese delights, chicken legs and much more exotic stuff, on board a night train from Beijing to Tai An.

Our objective was to climb the most sacred mountain in China : Tai Shan, don't imagine any extreme rock climbing we were just using the 6,000 granite steps... We discovered some ancient temples, the ten thousand immortals tower, many stone tablets located along our way and even went through the first gate to heaven... After spending a short night litterally in the clouds, we walked to the treasure life cliff on the East side of the mountain dressed as Russian soldiers to salute the sunrise.

We have been told by locals that people sharing this experience will live 100 years... See you in 70 years!!!
