About Me

I'm a Biomedical engineer, graduated at the University of Los Andes, Colombia. I am Neuroscience researcher at University of Regina, SK, Canada.

I love dancing salsa, batchata and eating Latin food! Loving almonds, chocolate and salads as well. I'm an outgoing girl who loves to know cultures and talk about everything!

I write poems and I love reading good books! I'm also like to ride bike and swim. I love the fall season, to walk in summer nights and travel (a lot). I can tell you a lot of things about Colombia, which is the best country that you can meet (I swear!)

I love traveling! And when I come back to Colombia, hope ppl can visit my country. I will be happy to accept guests.
You are more than welcome to visit Canada :) my house is your house! I'm happy to accept you guys as my guests.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was looking for someone who could like me as guest on Tues Dec 19 in Cancun or Playa del Carmen. I will be traveling back home and Ill visit Mexico just fgor 1 day 😊. It was my excuse to try couchsurfing again. I had the best experience ever with cs so I am on cs because I think it's one of the best ways to know amazing people and know more about different cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Salsa, batchata, merengue, Latin America rhythms, rock, electronic music, I love books!! I love Poe, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Sabato (el tunel), Cortazar (Rayuela), Saramago, Hawking, and all scientific papers about improvements in artificial organs and tissues lol

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am biomedical engineer. I have made artificial bones. Currently, as Neuroscientist, I am working on my thesis, in which I am working with stem cells to develop artificial tissue to regenerate the spinal cord.
I love Coldplay, I like writing poems too. You can look for my poems in www.facebook.com/malecabo
I love the Arabic culture! I was in Dubai and it was awesome. Now I'm fascinating with our Latin culture. I'm so so excited for my travel to Cancun on Dec!!
I was Vice President of the Student Platform for Engineering Education Development. So if you are engineer or student, and you love traveling and/or you're interested on engineering education, don't hesitate to text me 😉

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach Latin Music. I am learning how to differentiate stem cells into neurons to create artificial tissues to regenerate the brain and the spinal cord. I'm also learning French!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love learning and I am a very friendly girl. I like to share my experiences of traveling with other ppl and I have many funny stories to tell about my travels across all the world. I also love to talk about science, literature and music. I like to meet new people and I love to hear them.
