ABOUT ME

Half Chilean & Half German but born in Pontevedra (Galicia)a small city in the north of Spain.

This combination of cultures is probably the reason why i have been always fascinated with other people / cultures / places.

I have lived in different cities in Spain as well as I moved to Poland for a year, made it after it to Zanzibar - such a tropical Island - and I am now residing in South Africa. Plans for next destinations are already in the oven!!

My happiest moments in live have probably been with a Backpack in my shoulders... Family meetings, friends, new faces and the smiles of so many people, that keeps me going!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is just like a roller coaster - or like a box of bonbons if you prefer - you never know what is going to come but what ever it is enjoy it! Even the bad moments, we have to be strong enough to overcome them and taste that sweet bitter side of life!

Dance like if nobody is looking at you. Those who danced are considered insane by those who can not hear the music.

This is all a dream, reality is so crazy... lets live like dreamers!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I belong to Pfadfinderschaft - Luchs, a German Scout association. The first time I got to know Couchsurfing I just thought "This is what we used to do!" There is no better way than discover places hand in hand with the people living there..

Since we were little travelers and we used to hike/travel for weeks we encounter a lot of people in our ways that offered us their houses / garages / hotels / campings / to sleep in. Sometimes we also knocked doors :)

The most amazing experience was hen a 6 year old child in Slovakia saw us in the street having breakfast, he sat next to us and just observed us, we invited him for breakfast and played with him for a little while, after lunch he left and returned back to us after 1 hour; he invited 7 of us to sleep in his house!! Little Marius touched our hearts...

Since I entered Couchsurfing I can not say I had ever a bad experience.. Every single person I met, I surfed or they surfed where big and nice hearts / souls travelling in the world. I joined Couchsurfing as I heard about the whole idea and it couldn't be better.. I met Yasmine from Puerto Rico in Barcelona, she gave me a better idea of what is all about - she was just lovely, after it my journey started Yana my first host was waiting for me at the airport.. since then all people I have met have been soooo positive.. they all have a place in my heart!

Interests

I do love meeting new people from all kind of cultures, colors and shoe sizes!!

Travel - travel - travel!!

Music - Make me dance until the sun comes up!!

Swim - an enjoyable swim in turquoise waters, in the middle of the mountain!!

Reading - Nice interesting books
