About Me

I'm Alejandra, from the South of México. I am currently based in Querétaro (a city 3 hours far from Ciudad de México). My job as a photographer has required me to live 50% nomadically for the last two years.
I'm the kind of person that prefers soft and non invasive company. Definitely not a loud party monster.
Love running, yoga, meditation and the golden light of sunsets and sunrises.
Art freak, a little bit an introvert, but not shy. A little bit too techie, a little bit too book lover.
Might have a glass of wine sometime, but not a heavy drinker, non smoker, and pet lover.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to keep meeting people from all over the world. Long walks and interesting conversations are always welcome. I'd love to understand the vision and the humanity of the people that allows me in, in order to detonate inspiration that turns into light for new creative projects or artistic collaborations.

Interests

My photographic work goes specifically as a 360' Photographer for a Google Trusted Agency (mostly 360º and VR stuff). Before that, I spent some years working as a creative for advertising digital strategies, so content production has always been part of my daily basis.

As an artist, my pseudonym is Creatigre. Most of my work is reunited on this blogging adventure called www.creatigre.com

Right now, the project that excites me the most is called "#AmazingPeople, #AmazingPlaces by Creatigre", on which I've been doing interviews, reviews, and chronicles that share the creative process, the vision and the work of different artists from different disciplines. I've worked with musicians, painters, designers, and along this collaborative path of demistifying the creative genius, the artists I've met have become my teachers, my team, my friends, my family.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Midnight in Paris and Vicky, Cristina, Barcelona.
Music: I believe that every genre has a frequency for a different purpose. I've been covering a lot of jazz recently so I could say I'm on that phase, I love caribbean rythms for dancing, and have a sweet spot for guitars and good lyrics.
Books: Like music, there is an author for every emotion. If I had to mention one, the wittiness of Historias de Cronopios y Famas by Julio Cortázar always cheers me up.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most recent is a mural we made happen in the city I live in as a collaboration with an amazing team of artists, check it out here: http://creatigre.com/post/164239782804/the-mural-experiment-con-amor-todo-es-mejor

Teach, Learn, Share

I can totally offer photographic work (360º, portrait, product shots, covering an event) on exchange for accommodation, and if there is anything I can do to link artistic projects with people in México, I'd love to make this experience a way of networking.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Company, conversation, I also make a delicious ceviche and guacamole.

I also sing and play the ukulele, this might sound scary, but I don't do it that terrible, it has been the perfect cure for stress and mellow afternoons.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bahamas, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama, Peru, United States, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In

Chile, Mexico
