About Me

I was born and raised in Madrid (Spain), until after finishing college I took a job opportunity in the UK (in Watford, near London)... Since then I moved back to Madrid, back again to London and to Austin (Texas) after that.

I would like to settle back in Spain some day, but I have the feeling that the world is too big and diverse to live in just one place for your whole life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to take a sabbatical and go on a life changing adventure!

I am going to visit all continents and I would like to not just do the touristy stuff, but meet the locals and make an authentic experience out of it.

I'm keeping a video journal of this year's travels that you can check here: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-GPMlDV1mbBZtKpyC1VGre6ZSephr4Qe

Please don't be too hard judging, I'm still trying to find my style (and editing videos on the phone is hard!).

Music, Movies, and Books

Here are my movie ratings, I haven't kept it very up to date: http://www.filmaffinity.com/en/userratings.php?user_id=859174

I can listen to almost any kind of music... I have a punk rock and metal past, but I've softened over the years. I have an old car that only takes CD's and I still enjoy making mixes for the road :)

Some of my favorite readings have been: the Ender saga (mostly Speaker for the Dead), anything Terry Pratchet (specially Discworld), and sci-fi dystopias like 1984 and Brave New World. When I finished Foucault's Pendulum I felt so empty that I wanted to cry.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in a Spanish TV travel show giving a tour around Austin, you can watch my segment here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8PuyXepQW8#t=57m17s
