Sobre mí

I recently finished my bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management. Looking forward for my master's degree in the same field. I love beer and food, in every country I visit is a must to taste at least one beer and one main dish from the region. Travelling is one of the things I enjoy the most as well as good music, dancing (of course I am latino haha) and having a great time with friends. Mexico is such a great and lovely country, I like it a lot and I've traveled a lot in here as well. If you need some recommendations on where to go in my country please feel free to ask me. Also, Monterrey is not the best city but for sure you can have a great time in here, some of the things I highly recommend to do in Monterrey are:

- Easy hiking in Chipinque (specially the ''El pinal'' road, you can catch it from the 3rd vereda where the main park for picnic is)
- Barrio antiguo (consider to go during the night, probably during the week when is not that crowded or on Sunday morning where a lovely market take place)
- Santiago pueblo mágico (many people go there, is cute but not so big, so it won´t take you longer than an hour to see it)
- Centrito valle (this is the best place for partying, but make sure to take your best clothes bc all clubs have a dresscode)
- Museo MARCO (Many poeple like this contemporary art museum)
- Museo de Historia Mexicana (tbh I like this museum more than the one I mentioned before, but idk probably I am just such a nerd who likes history haha, depends on you)
- Paseo Santa Lucía (this is a lovely big park wih a nice canal, you can either take a boat for very fair price or walk next to it, usually people go there in the afternoon but I would recommend go there better at 6pm or 7pm when the sunset take place so you're not going to get dehydrated, also many cool events are held here but not all the time so check if there is something going on by the time you are here)

If you like nature and have the chance to rent a car or ask someone to take you there:

- Río ramos in Allende (this is my favorite place near to Monterrey, specially "el salto de las víboras", but is hard to get there)
- Parque la Estanzuela - this is nice too but a bit harder hiking than Chipinque
- Grutas de García

Have a great time in Monterrey!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Honestly, my trips around the globe made me know about CS, I had such a great time with my first and sole experience. I am very happy I did CS for the first time and I am really looking forward o keep this way of life in the future. Knowing people from different regions and countries is just amazing, I like to understand better about cultures and obviously about beer and food :P (Yes, with this I am suggesting you to be willing to cook something from your country or region if you want to stay with me, or at least having a beer one night might be cool as well). Please notice that CS is not just a way to avoid the payment of a Hostel, specially not in Mexico which is very cheap, but is a way to share a little bit more with a local and experience the city in a different way. If you really wanna stay with me and know Monterrey a bit better please send me a message before requesting to stay and please write "VIVA LOS REGIOS" as the subject in this case I would definitely know you read what I wrote in here. Also, notice this is NOT TINDER.

Música, películas y libros

My favorite music is latino style (reggeaton, salsa, bachata) I also like dancing of course.

I am a super hero fan Marvel or DC! both are ok for me :), love also good movies such as Drive, Mad Max, Donnie Darko.

I love reading as well, specially thrillers.

Algo increíble que he hecho

My exchange in Lisbon!, and also my work exchange experience as Spanish teacher in Poland ;)

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I can show you some Mexican phrases in Spanish, good food and nice places to go in Monterrey or Mexico. I would love to learn about food from other countries and share with you the one from my region.
