Overview
About Me
Hey guys! My name is Alejandro and I'm an American-born-Spanish-bred guy moving to NY this August for work. I've lived abroad in places such as Sweden (where I had an affair with snow and skiing), Brazil (where I learnt Portuguese) and Australia (where I stayed in beautiful Melbourne for a year).
I'm a massive fan of traveling, and especially meeting new people. Always up for swapping stories!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think its an awesome way of traveling. It helps reduce costs, which is always a big constraint when exploring new places, AND it allows you to easily meet new people. I also think that being with someone that knows the area always enriches your experience.
I'm also a big fan of couches.

Music, Movies, and Books
Uff these are always difficult questions!
In terms of music, an artist I've been listening to recently is Tash Sultana (she's from Melbourne I believe). Check her out on youtube, she's got really cool tunes.
In terms of motion picture, I've been watching quite a few Vice documentaries recently, especially the Vice Sports ones, like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKPa3uVddbU
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Organised the first ever Danceathon in Durham.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach:
- Salsa and bachata.

- English
- How (or at least attempt!) to cook Spanish tortilla
Open to learn new crafts and skills!
