About Me

Hello, everybody! I am an open-minded, easy-going and friendly person who loves travelling, drawing and anything involving multicultural stuff, say food, traditions, language, and so on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because a few friends of mine have recommended it to me, I was blown away by the fact that this actually exists. Being able to wander around the world and having the opportunity to meet such diverse people sounds simply amazing to me. I had to give it a try.

Interests

As I said above, I love anything related to travel, languages and art. Even though I am only studying a few languages, I am always open to learn new words and expressions from any kind of language, say swearing words, of course, or tourist-like phrases. Just the fact that I'm having a conversation in another language different from my mother tongue, makes it interesting anyway. Also, I am quite keen on painting and drawing , so I really appreciate any chat about art.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into pop singers, such as Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift... I also kind of like R&B, but don't know any song by heart. Indie is okay but pff not my favourite for sure. Sorry, no reggaeton at all. If the song is good, its genre doesn't matter ;)
Because of my experience as a translator, reading for me is too analytical, so I don't read much during my free time, but I'm always open to recommendations. One of my all time favourite books is Angels and Demons by Dan Brown.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was one of the youngest kids in my area to get the black belt in karate when I was 13 (although I'm extremely anti-confrontational).
I once was the interpreter of a famous Norwegian writer, the author of Sophia's world, and also have been the interpreter of the refugees for a while in the Red Cross.
I've won a few art contests and been on the local newspaper for my (collective) exhibitions, I like to say I'm good at drawing myself, but there's soooo much left to learn.
I've managed to overcome several years of crippling anxiety and get out of my comfort zone, which I think is good! :D

Teach, Learn, Share

We're all here for something. I'm sure you'll learn something from me and vice versa, that's the adventure.

Over the years I've met many people from all around the world and some of them are still my dear friends and some of them were gone and forgotten after a short time, but every single one of them showed me something I didn't know before and therefore made me grow :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

An interesting conversation, a cool pub crawl around the city, a lifelong friend, a one night stand, you name it! ^_^
