About Me

I was born and raised in a city in the northeast part of Mexico, the youngest of 3 male sons, we are a very close family, I enjoy a lot hanging out with them and having barbecues (we actually bbq at least once a week) of course always drinking a nice beer or some tequila. I love to hang out with friends and enjoy a nice cold beer.

I lived for one year in a small seaside town just in the north of Boston, USA as a Au pair of 3 kids, that year has been one of the best ones of my life, I got to meet people from all over the world and travel a lot; during that year I came to Europe for the first time, I also started playing squash and tennis, those became my favorite hobbies, I still love to play squash and tennis. All the experiences I had there really changed myself in a very good way, after that time I decided I wanted to travel and continue sharing culture and traditions with people from all around the globe.

In 2018 I moved to the Netherlads to complete one of the dreams I had, obtain a master's degree from one of the best universities in the world. In summer 2020 I finished my masters degree and in Feb 2021 I started my PhD in Massrricht, during this 4 years I will be developing functional MRI methods to better understand the human brain. During the past years, I have been meeting people from many different counties and it has been an amazing experience.

Now that I am in Europe I want to travel around by train and bike in Europe, Africa and Asia, make some good friends that I hope can be for life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about Couchsurfing from a friend that has been using it for several years, I think the whole idea of meeting new people from all over the world , share culture and traditions is amazing. This platform really helps doing it in an easy and safe way.

Besides getting my Msc degree, one of my objectives when living in Europe is to meet people and travel around the world, I think this is platform will certainly help me with that. Since I am new here, it would be awesome if you can help me in any way.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to listen to music when I am relaxing in my room, I like indie, soft rock, reggae, country and mexican music (sometimes I just play random playlists in Spotify). The movies I enjoy the most are funny movies (comedies), I think is good to watch a movie and forget for some hours about everything and if you laugh and have fun while doing it is way better.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In summer 2019 I took a flight from Mexico to AMS, packed and slept for a few hours and then started an eurotrip by train

Teach, Learn, Share

I can definitely teach you some good spanish words and how to prepare some real mexican tacos and burritos :D If we are lucky to spend some time I can teach you how to play squash (an awesome racket sport) and show you some of the cool stuff you can do in the Netherlands (I am still finding many more things).

What I Can Share with Hosts

My room is not that big, but you can stay in the floor if you bring your own sleeping bag. I can share some blankets and a pillow.
