I am an experience teacher who loves travelling and getting to know new people and cultures. I left my country in 2001 and I have lived in England for 13 years plus one year in Dubai. I love reading and writing and I like to explore not only places but spirituality . I am a qualified Reiki master and I try to improve and learn from the experiences that life puts in front of us all the time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As you may know, teachers do not get brilliant salaries so if I want to travel I need to do it on a budget. And I decided to Couchsurf because I have heard many interesting and mostly positive stories about this way of getting to know people and accommodation while travelling.
I also want to be able to share with people my experiences and hear from them about their own.

Interests

As I have already mentioned, travelling and getting to know different cultures motivates me a lot.
I am also into spiritual matters (however, do not think I am a New Era weirdo). I think I am quite normal about it and I only mention it to like-minded people as I don't like imposing my ideas on anyone.

Music, Movies, and Books

In general, I love most types of music and lately I only watch films based on true stories. I also like books based on true stories and books about Reiki and/or spiritual matters.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2013, I went on holiday to Colombia with my two teenage boys. I took them on a kind of "extreme" holiday. We went to many beautiful regions in the country, we went to a desert, we went to the Andean mountains and we went to our "Grand Canyon". At this places we did trekking in the desert, we did caving, bungee jumping, walking around a platform outside a 60 mt. high tower and the most terrifying for me: paragliding. I did most of the activities just to avoid "losing face" in front of my boys (but I was very scared a lot of the time!). And the boys....they had the time of their lives!

Teach, Learn, Share

As a teacher, I am always trying to teach people something not only about my subject but about my experiences. At the same time, I am always learning from people as they always have a lot to offer, so it will be great to be able to share with people and have a great time while visiting new places.
