About Me
Traveling has given me a doctorate in life. I took my first solo trip when I was 19 and it was a life changing experience. I have learnt a lot about myself, geography, history, culture, people, music, etc... I've visited and seen places I had only dreamt they existed, I've learnt how to ski (off pist level), hike, dive, surf.. I've done so many different jobs too, it has been amazing. Traveling makes me feel alive and a better person, I think it should be mandatory for everyone. But what makes everything worthwhile, it is the people I meet, it always makes the difference and is whom I've learnt invaluable lessons from.
After living in Melbourne, in NZ and traveling around South East Asia for 2 years I settled in Santiago, Chile. I've been living here for 2 years now and quite like my new home. I was fortunate enough to find a job that allows me to keep traveling too, so I'm away a lot of the weekends.
I share my house with Marce and Andy from Chile. We are happy to welcome people home mainly that are willing to share. I don't need you to be with me all the time, just have a genuine interest on the cultural exchange. We love food :) so sharing a meal might be a great opportunity to exchange some life stories...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I travel, I love meeting locals and getting immersed in their culture. To get a feeling (and a taste!) of what life is like where I go. To me, is the people I get to meet in my travels what counts the most and, the memories and moments that I treasure is what makes me want to start traveling again when I'm home.
I hope to meet more amazing people and get to know each other better over coffee, tea, beer or why not the local drink !!
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: yes please, 24/7. Spotify addict. I've always mainly listened to music in English indie, brit indie, jazz ! little reggae, hip hop and a big fan of electronic music: tech house; techno, progressive. I also enjoy música cubana, I like some newer indie bands in Spanish, little cumbia villera (arg) why not?
Reading was a later discovery in life. Happy to see there is a whole world to explore here too ;) I quite like philosophy books or novels set historical contexts where you learn while the story unfolds. I also enjoy non-fiction book, I try to educate myself in useful, and "not so useful" subjects.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Mmm define amazing?
I've hiked volcanoes, dived at the great barrier reef, skied off tracks to the best powder snow in amazing landscapes... I found these pretty cool ones
