About Me

Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, but currently working in Bolivia. I consider myself a rather serious guy. I am honest, respectful and calm. I like to talk, read books, and teach what I know. One of my biggest dreams is to take the Trans-siberian train with one of my best friends. Usually when I set myself an objective, I persevere until achieving my goal.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When you are traveling is a nice way to get involved with the local culture of the place you are visiting. Your host can help you to the get the most of your holidays giving you really valuable advices. In my opinion the sightseeing tourism looks good in pictures, but if you step out of the main road, maybe you get more authentic memories from your trip.

When you are hosting, in a certain way you are also traveling, you receive someone from another country, you can share experiences, teach and learn, if they do not speak the same language as you, then you have to try to communicate... summarizing, is an adventure.

Interests

I love my job, and I consider myself good at it. Every time I solve a problem at work I feel one of the most deepest satisfactions. I love to teach, because I feel that teaching is the best way to learn, so for me is normal to try to share everything I know with other people.
About hobbies, I like to play videogames, but recently I have had not enough time to play. Every day, if a wake up early enough, a drive my bicycle to the office. And on weekends,if I am not too tired, I drive my bycicle to the lake near my city (15km away, more or less).

I like to read, in fact, I consider that my e-book reader is one of the best investments I have ever done, since I have had the opportunity of reading a lot of books with it.

Rugby, is my favorite sport; I played during all my studies, and playing rugby you learn that its philosophy goes beyond the sport, it is something that you can extrapolate to your every day´s life. I consider that one of the keys of my success is the way I handle and tackle problems, and that is thanks to Rugby.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-I was supposed to take the TOEFL test one day in a city far away from home. I am at that city studying in the morning (my test was in the afternoon) and I receive an email for a Job interview 500km away. It was a difficult situation, because at the moment I had no job, but the TOEFL test was really important to start my Master Degree.I took the decision of driving back to go to the interview, then after the interview I took the car I drove back the 500km again, arriving just in time to take my test. I got the job! and I approved the test!!!

-I met a girl who knew how to flight...

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to teach about my country, about my costumes, I like to teach the few thing that I know about science.

I like to learn new words in different languages.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a conversation about different topics, I like to talk about politics, I like to discuss about controversial topics and state my point of view, but I enjoy the most when another person, using an unbeatable argument, shows me that I am wrong, is the best way to learn.

When I travel I always carry in my luggage Venezuelan chocolate, rum, and corn flour, It is like carrying a little piece of my country with me, a little piece that I can share with my host.
