My name is Alejandro, I'm Colombian and I love music. I am also a lawyer, but I decided to take a break from my career. I quitted my job and decided to go backpacking to give myself the chance to think if the path I chose as a professional makes me happy enough and also to visit amazing places that I always wanted to know. I enjoy a lot learning the history about the places I visit, so it would be very awesome to meet friends to stroll around and get to know those places better. I'm not too much into partying (although, as a Colombian, I enjoy it once in a while), I prefer going for a cold beer, a cup of coffee or a nice meal (I love to try the local food).

I'm on couchsurfing for having the opportunity of a better and closer approach with the places and cultures I meet and for making new friends for sharing my traveling experiences. Happiness is something meant to be shared.

I love music in general. My favorite styles are rock, metal, punk and jazz. I am a guitar and bass player (almost studied music before deciding to become a lawyer). My favorite bands are Pink Floyd, Sublime, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden and Charly García. I also enjoy movies, specially history and action films (my favorite movie is The Empire Strikes Back). My favorite authors are Gabriel García Márquez, Jorge Luis Borges and Charles Bukowski.

I wanna learn about the places and people I meet. The main purpose of my trip is learning about myself and maybe the best way to achieve it is to share travel experiences with the people you meet.

I'm fluent in Spanish, English and Brazilian Portuguese, so I can definitely teach some of these languages. I can also teach how to play guitar or bass and share about Colombian culture, history, identity and customs.
