I think it is a really nice platform if you want to travel in a different way, let's say less conventional, because it allows you to meet local people that will help you truly discover the place you are visiting: most of the things that make a city be what it is (the smell, the people, the tiny or hidden pubs, that little cafe that has the best coffee in the city, the conversations at night...) don't come in travel guides.

And not only that, but also what you can offer as a couchsurfer to the hosters. It is a give-receive situation (and a win-win I would say).

I'm gonna list what I've been listening to/watching/reading lately but, still, my tastes change quite often.

Music: The Smiths, The Stone Roses, Oasis, Alt-J, Kasabian, Spooky Black, Nite Fields, Daughter, The War on Drugs, Gill-Scott Heron, When Saints Go Machine, Massive Attack, Apparat, Moderat, Radiohead, Porthishead...

Books: Juan Rulfo, Kenneddy Toole, Baricco, Orwell, Boris Vian, Pere Calders (I know you probably haven't heard about him, but you should definitely try to get a copy of any of his short stories in your language), Ionesco, Murakami, Vonnegut, Kerouac, Burroughs, Bukowski, Bolaño, Tao Lin, Mercè Rodoreda...

Movies: Two of the last movies I've watched recently and I've liked the most are from the same director: Paths of Glory and Full Metal Jacket. I also quite enjoyed Shrek :D.

Regarding cohabitation, I'm a tidy and clean person and I will follow any rules that you set. I wished I were a good cook but I can learn jajaj.
