About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Life is short and it's all there is, so I just don't want to lose a second. I want to move, jump, run, do everything I can. If we don't take advantage of every second doing things we like and liking the things we do, what are we here for?

ABOUT ME

I'm a student from spain who loves to travel around the world, meeting new people, trying new foods. I never say no to a new experience and I'm very easy to convince to do something. I'm very easy going and help out as much as I can. Everything can become cool if you go into it with the right mind

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's the best way to travel and the best way to meet people who are travelling. Not a hotel.

Interests

I love everything a place has to offer and want to take as much as I can in.
I love museums, going to the theater (I do theater myself since I was 3), I specially like to get lost in the middle of a city and look for street art or just take a walk (I usually walk everywhere if it's not too far), excursions, nature, parks, zoos, extreme sports, regular sports, the list goes on (and will get expanded when I realize I forgot something really cool inexplicably).
At night I like every type of club, bar, pub, karaoke,... But the more random a night the better. And the more random the people the better. If the music has to skew one way, I'd say 60s and 70s music and funk, I can't not dance funk, but again anything goes... House, techno, heavy metal, you name it

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge movie and tv show nut and a comedy nerd in all its forms (stand-up, improv, tv comedies, good movie comedies). Directors: Tarantino, Edgar Wright, Wes Anderson and anything Charlie Kauffman or Spike Jonze are involved in. I'm in profound admiration of Ellen Page because she's awesome.
A huge admirer of every type of music as long as it's good (specially 60s and 70s rock, but also heavy metal, rap, hiphop, jazz, blues, indie). Plus anything psychedelic, mind-boggling and Pink Floyd can not be beat. I welcome any new sounds ready to come my way.
I love books of all types. Two of my favorites are 1984 and The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy

Teach, Learn, Share

If you come to Madrid and I'm not very busy (university can do that to you), I will show you around town, organize excursions if that's your thing, go out with you at night and show you all the different scenes if that's your thing .
And in the special case I'm extremely free and the weather permits it, we can even go up to the Sierra Madrileña which is the most amount of nature you'll get in Madrid

What I Can Share with Hosts

Psychology, Philosophy (specially Nietzsche, Sartre and Camus), World Mythologies, Politics (although, please, not too much of that), knowledge of arts theory in the fields of: theater, literature, opera, musicals, contemporary cinema and other visual and performing arts, animation, 60s, 70s and 80s rock and pop music, jazz, soul, RnB, rap, psychedelic rock, spoken word. And I'm getting into architecture but I have a very reduced knowledge as of now.
On the other hand, I'm pretty weak at world cultures, classical music (except opera) and classical cinema, spanish music, sculpture, fashion, world cuisine and others. But I'm very much willing to listen and learn.
I'm willing to speak in spanish and french if you want to improve your foreign languages and I'm also willing to learn the basics of any language.
I love listening to other people's stories and what they have to say.
After all this, it's important to note that I'm also able of shutting up if you don't feel like talking.

I think it is imperative to respect other people's houses and clean up after myself, this is not a hotel service and I'm grateful that you're willing to take a total stranger into your home. If your busy I'll try very hard not to be additional work.
