About Me

I'm a person looking to relish a state of life that fulfills me in major ways, while allowing me the opportunity to improve the experiences of others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I take great pleasure in meeting people from all over the world and learning about their dreams, goals, and lifestyles. I view it as getting closer to my human family!

Interests

Geography is a flame that has been burning from a young age, stemming from an effort to know what makes up the world and how those elements interact. Many of my other interests revolve around this core fascination.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
All sorts really, it's hard to pinpoint a favorite genre. A sample of artists I find interesting include Rodrigo y Gabriela, Soda Stereo, Mos Def, Tycho, Jimi Hendrix, Metallica, Stromae, and the Arctic Monkeys.

Movies:
The Godfather, Interstellar, Seven Samurai, Dead Poets Society, The Shawshank Redemption, Princess Mononoke, City of God. The list goes on...

Books:
The Count of Monte Cristo, The Brothers Karamazov, East of Eden, The Sun Also Rises, Dune, One Hundred Years of Solitude, and surely many others as of yet undiscovered.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While in the countryside of Ecuador, I had the chance to shadow a local dentist who was recording the oral condition of the children of one village. Some of the kids needed teeth pulled, others just inspection - I was partly a translator for my classmates working alongside me. Afterwards, we taught them how to use a toothbrush. It was a very humbling experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learning is something I am grateful for: the ability to avoid idleness and thus restlessness.
I've worked as a tutor of Spanish and French, and would love to help you on your linguistic adventure.
I'm a fan of trivia, distinct perspectives, and deeper understanding of open-ended subjects.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm happy to offer my enthusiasm, an open mind, and a willingness to explore our surroundings and do interesting things.
