About Me
So instead of labeling myself for you, i will tell you a little about myself and let you do the labeling!
Hello, so I am planning a trip starting this February 15. I will set out to walk from San Diego to San Fransisco. I will start on the PCT then hike into the coast around Los Padres National Forest in Santa Barbara, CA. I have set my trip up for 2 months and hopefully I can walk around 1,500 KM in total.
The main reasons for this adventure are to build muscle strength and stamina for the SF marathon. As well as to gain a more profound understanding of myself; limits and capabilities. Testing and pushing the limits of what i conceive as "reality", wether it be mental, physical, or spiritually always gets me going.
So i will push myself first into the unknown realm of thru hiking and wilderness "surviving" with pretty much zero experience in camping and then on to the SF marathon, again with zero running history. Well maybe not zero, I do play soccer every Sunday and when i was a kid I was pretty wild so I ran around a lot and surfed :) good days. Anyways I will only hike for 2 months, hopefully making it to SF, from that point to the SF marathon I have about 3 months, and since i work in a craft brewery in Mexico what better city to visit than Portland, Oregon; beer-heaven.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I plan to live in Portland for 3 months, Spending most of my time getting as close as possible to the craft beer scene. Looking to learn and new experiences; they go hand by hand.
I would rather share time with locals and new people than to live in an apartment by myself. I want to make the most of my stay and hopefully create some relationships that can continue into the future!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music- a lot please! anything rooted in blues, jazz, soul will get me dancing. Nothing like zepplin, rhcp, black keyes, anything along those lines, also instrumental, clasical, more contemporary electronic stuff also.... I can listen to almost anything but there are special musicians that will just touch something completely different. Last one that did this is probably Tash Sultana (on video or live).
Books- lately....... read Sapiens- a brief history of humankind, pretty incredible book, incredible effort and research. Also liked Stealing Fire, Lean Startup, power of habit. Some books along a different line would be Awareness by anthony de mello is pretty insane, Kybalion is pretty intense also.... Basically enjoy reading book that are non fiction, and that can teach me something..... Tao te ching has some mindblowing versions (translations)
Movies- yes on occasion, very good to just chill
Teach, Learn, Share
There is nothing more enjoyable that having a conversation or relationship that changes you perception. Something that forces my established view of the world to change and readapt. So i love people who are constantly pushing the boundaries and learning in whichever way they can.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If i were to say one thing hands down i would say my cooking. I mean who does not love to eat.
But in general I am a really fast learner and are up for almost anything, If help is needed on a project. I have done some gardening, once i had a little restaurant and i did construction, also on a couple more projects. love to play the piano.... and have lots of crazy stories.
Again i would love to come out of this trip with relationships that grow into the future; but for that we have to have a few conversations together.
