Hello! My name is Alejandro David Pereyra. I am 26 years old, I was born and raised in the city of Bahía Blanca, province of Buenos Aires.
I am a musician and a student at the conservatory of my city. I work as a bandoneon player in different musical projects of tango and folklore, as well as a session musician for dancers and temporary projects. I am a composer and arranger of my own music 😊

Hola! Mi nombre es Alejandro David Pereyra. Tengo 26 años, nací y crecí en la ciudad de Bahía Blanca, provincia de Buenos Aires.
Soy músico y estudiante en el conservatorio de mi ciudad. Me desempeño como bandoneonista en diferentes proyectos musicales de tango y de folklore, además de músico sesionista para bailarines y proyectos temporales. Soy compositor y arreglados de mi propia música 😊

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I discovered that the most accessible and fun way to get to know places and their people. The times that I have been hosted, I have had wonderful experiences through couchsurfing, that traveling in a traditional way, stopping at a hotel or doing conventional tourist tours, I would never have been able to.

Descubrí que la forma más accesible y divertida de conocer lugares y su gente. Las veces que he sido alojado, he tenido experiencias maravillosas a través del couchsurfing, que viajando solo de otra forma no lo hubiera conseguido.

Music, Movies, and Books

Musically I try to investigate all the genres that I can. The ones I listen to the most are Argentine tango and folklore, since it is my job and they are genres that I like a lot. Although I never put aside rock, jazz, cumbia and Latin rhythms, electronic music, bossa... I'm quite curious.
If I had to make a selection of artists from different genres, they could be: Piazzolla, Charly García, Ray Baretto, Peteco Carabajal, Hiatus Kaiyote, Bill Evans

I like movies like Wes Anderson. Also the Pulp Fiction style action ones. I'm not a big movie buff though. What I can say about cinema is quite limited. I also really like series like Peaky Blinders, Breaking Bad, Dark, Black Mirror

As for books, I read "treasure island" or "the hobbit" style novels, that is, adventures (also other styles, but those are my favorites). I like to get into travel stories, if they are better fantasies. I also read and write poetry, although I have nothing published. I like Argentine poets like Juan Gelman, Francisco Urondo, Marcelo Díaz.

Musicalmente trato de investigar todos los géneros que pueda. Los que mas escucho es tango y folklore argentino, ya que es mi trabajo y además son géneros que me gustan mucho. Aunque nunca dejo de lado al rock, al jazz, la cumbia y ritmos latinos, música electrónica, bossa... soy bastante curioso.
Si tuviera que hacer una selección de artistas de distintos géneros, podrían ser: Piazzolla, Charly García, Ray Baretto, Peteco Carabajal, Hiatus Kaiyote, Bill Evans

Me gustan las películas del estilo de Wes Anderson. También las de acción estilo Pulp Fiction. Aunque no soy un gran cinéfilo. Es bastante limitado lo que puedo llegar a decir sobre cine. También me gustan mucho las series como Peaky Blinders, Breaking Bad, Dark, Black Mirror

En cuanto a libros, leo novelas estilo "la isla del tesoro" o "el hobbit" es decir, de aventuras (también de otros estilos, pero esos son mis favoritos). Me gusta meterme en historias de viajes, si son fantasías mejor. También leo y escribo poesía, aunque no tengo nada publicado. Me gustan poetas argentinos como Juan Gelman, Francisco Urondo, Marcelo Díaz.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

No se si es increíble, pero he viajado un par de veces de mochilero con mi guitarra, toqué en festivales grandes dentro de Argentina y hace poco edité un album de música folclórica donde tengo algunas canciones propias.
