About Me

Nicaraguan living in São Paulo.

ABOUT ME A little shy at the beginning, then I can tell you a few bad jokes. I love traveling whenever and wherever I can. I enjoy reading and writing. Meeting new people in my travels or in my country. Practice any kind of sport. Eat new and weird food. People say I'm a writer. And I don't know what else to tell you. I appreciate personal requests instead of copy/paste, btw.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Learning, meeting new people and different cultures, having a beer with a couchsurfer. I don't know, I'm in love with Couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Huge fan of Lou Reed (& Nico/the Velvet Underground). Jim Morrison is the Lizard King. David Bowie is not human. The 60s-70s were The years. Jazz lover. And so much more but I can't really remember right now. Musiquita latina. Tropicalia.
Movies: well, mostly a good old Kubrick, Tarantino or Woody Allen movie, or just enjoying Audrey Hepburn's smile. Oh, and Star Wars. And Tolkien movies. And Godard. And Fellini. And Truffaut. And Bertolucci. Almodovar is pretty cool, too.
Books: currently i'm very much into Roberto Bolaño, , but I really like Poe, Vonnegut, Cortázar, Borges, Fuentes, Cardenal, Kerouac, Ginsberg, Keats, Salinger, Castillo Salaverry, Tolkien, Sabato, and Rimbaud and Hemingway, and many more. And G. R. R. Martin is brilliant.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Catching three fishes on a fishing trip with my grandpa and see him smiling.
Peeing in the crater of a volcano in the middle of the night.
Hitchhiking from Paris to Denmark.
Watching the Arsenal play live and being waved by Santi Cazorla.
Having a (really short) conversation with Jorge Drexler about Latin American literature.
Climbing the Huayna Potosí mountain (6,088 mts) and almost dying!
Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu
Watching a World Cup match in Russia
