Overview
About Me
I'm Alejo from Buenos Aires, I'm an amateur musician and a professional electronics engineer. I love music, love to play music, love to write music, listen to music, see live bands, etc..you get the picture. I also like movies, and sci fi and the whole geek culture. I lived almost my whole life in Buenos Aires, except for about 5 years that I lived in Guatemala City. I love pets and animals, I have a cat named Sasha who is an adorable little devil (she's harmless but likes to act as she's tough :P ).
Besides music, traveling is my favourite thing in the world, I've been to the US three times, twice to Europe, Mexico, and most of Central America and a lot of places here in Argentina
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
“For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.” – Robert Louis Stevenson
Meeting people and getting to know cultures is one of the things I enjoy the most
Interests
I love all types of music.. or *most* types of music. Folk music from different countries, classic rock, modern stuff, hip hop, rnb, catchy pop tunes as well as grandiose classical compositions.
Also anything related to the geek culture, sci fi, star wars, etc
I also, for some reason, enjoy a lot reading autobiographies of people from all times in history

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Most of my life I've listened mostly clasic rock, so Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Stones are the bands I grew up with. I enjoy pop music, whatever is in the charts, I like catchy melodies, even when the tunes seem manufactured. Also, I LOVE Oasis, and from the more contemporary bands, I like London Grammar, Junip, and The Staves a lot. Just saw MØ live the other day and I was mesmerized!
Books: LOTR, Dune, anything by Isaac Asimov. Also.. autobiographies!
Movies: Star Wars, Jurassic Park, The 5th Element, Almost Famous (my all time favourite movie ever!)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ummm... two things come to mind:
On 2014, I went on a tour across europe playing in 8 person, all syth band. It was my only experience as an "on the road" musician and I loved every minute of it
And, back in Guatemala, I went to do some volunteering on a sea turtle habitat in the pacific ocean, and, just as i was about to leave, the eggs started hatching and all the little turtles started to make their way towards the sea.. beautiful experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak english fairly well and I'm a native spanish speaker. I'be been trying to learn a new languaje but I can't decide wich one. I'm currently doing the Italian course in Duolingo. So I can help to learn spanish or perhaps english.
I play guitar, and a lot of other stringed instruments (like ukulele, mandolin, etc). Also a little bit of piano and I know a fairly lot about synthesizers, so I can share all my knowledge with whoever desires it.
I enjoy photography but I'm a complete amatuer on the subject.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I live with my cat in an (rather small) apartment in Buenos Aires' suburbs. It's not near the touristic side of buenos aires but a few meters away from bus stops to virtually anywhere in the city (about 30-40 min bus ride to the most visited locations.) I have a big sleeper couch on the living room and it's available to whomever feels like that distance is not a problem :)
