About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To do at least 800 kms with my bike!

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy going person who is looking to meet places and people all over the world! I like to share experiences and points of view. I'm a huge fan of food and love to try new stuff. I also love to see landscapes and walk. And bikes! I believe bicycle have the power to change lifes and cities and societies.
I studied cinema in Paris and I just loved it (films, studying cinema, Paris...)!
I'm working for a Colombian TV channel as a correspondent and I'm travelling a lot because of that. It's a funny job full of discoveries.
I'm moving back to Colombia in september 2014, when I plan to create a cultural center called "La Casa del Caracol". But first, I need to make some money to achieve that, my lifetime project. I honestly want to be a lifechanger and I think this project will help me to go in that direction.
I do translations from time to time and I do nothing often as well.

PHILOSOPHY

We are accidents waiting and waiting to happen!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting, surfing, going out to drink something, going to CSurfing events! I have had beautiful experiences in foreign countries with CS and I try as much as possible to travel with CS. It's just funnier!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met a lot of CSurfers in Brasil... The best people ever!! I will miss all of them!

While I was travelling in Argentina, I met really cool people in Buenos Aires and I surfed a couch in Rosario. Great experiences!!

I travelled around Poland only Couchsurfing and I had a blast!

I received in Bogota an italian CS that I met in Sao Paulo (sweet globalization!). He stayed 4 nights and we had a great time! Unfortunately I was studying and I didn't have too much time to spend with him during the weekdays. But in the weekend we had lots of fun! I've also hosted lots of people in Paris, most of them friends and relatives.

I went to Emilie's house in Pau. She hosted me because I had to work there, but we mostly spent time together having fun and doing a little roadtrip! CS makes my work a lot better! I love you CSurfing!

I hosted people in Paris, when I used to live there... I had great memories about two amazing dutch sisters who where the most funny people ever and who hosted me in amsterdam twice!

I went to a CSurfing event in Firenze and I even found a couch that night, and I was planning to sleep in a park!

Music, Movies, and Books

Pulp Fiction (actually, every Tarantino), Snatch, Cidade de Deus, Fight Club, Dr. Strangelove, Seven Psychopaths, 2001... These are some of the best movies I've seen. I love to watch movies with a good company.

Radiohead, Soda Stereo, Salsa, Gabriel o Pensador, Little joy, Strokes..............

El túnel, El hablador, Historias de Cronopios y de Famas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was voluntary in an organization called 'Un techo para mi país' (kind of 'a roof for my country') where I was able to construct a house for a very poor family in a suburb of my city. It is amazing because I actually changed the life of 8 persons and I got to meet and share with them a weekend. (I loved the experience so much that I participed again just a few months later and constructed another house! The family was amazing and I'm really happy because tonight they are going to sleep in a real house with a roof without leaks!

Living in Brasil was one of my best experiences, for sure. To live by myself for a few months taught me a lot about me. Also, the fact of being in contact with such a great people as the brasilian made me more receptive, talkative, open-minded, funny,... a better person, I guess.

I worked with a foundation called Akapana which helps the children of the women in jail! It was a hard, yet nice experience. I did a pretty nice documentary and I was able to help some amazing kids!

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn about cinema in your country. I can also teach you what I know about cinema (I know plenty of stuff about Michael Moore and Tarantino and Kubrick). I can teach you how to roll a cigarette like a cowboy (and yes, that's a reference to Pulp Fiction, when Vincent Vega is having dinner with Mia Walace in Jack Rabbit Slim).
I can teach you how to dance salsa.
I know bad-words in spanish, french, english, portugues, german, polish, czech...
We can discuss about the colombian conflict, tragic yet passionating subject. This is the reason why I'm studying documentary, because I think it's the best way to study the complexity of the war that's taking place in my country for the last 40 years.
I've been living in Paris for a year now and I know some cool places that I can show you! And we can discover some new ones too!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, United States
