ABOUT ME

Hi everyone, I'm Alek, I'm an architecture student and I love to meet new people, discover great places and get to know about different cultures :) I'm so much interested in sailing and I really like urban bicycling.

PHILOSOPHY

Because of culture in my country, I was born as a christian. Now I'm atheist. But I think, that the best religion that would fit to me would be buddism. I admire this actually no as a religion, but as a philosophy. Philosophy of tolerance and peace.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just started participate in CS community, but I hope I will have, for example, a lot o questions about Warsaw and Poland and have an opportunity to answer all of them!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Two years ago I was with my girlfriend on a little Balkan couch-surfing trip :)

Interessi

I'm interested in architecture and modern art. Also I love sailing. I'm realy sad, that I was only once at the cruise on see, but I go sailing on inland waterways few times a year. I also like playing piano :)

Music - some electronic, rock, indie and hip-hop. But I'm lost in a lot of genres :) My favourite bands: Pretty Lights, Foals, Moby, Royksopp, Aphex Twin, Yeasayer, Tricky, Flume, The xx, Bonobo, The Roots, Crystal Fighters, Mogwai and many, many more. And The Rolling Stones are epic! Sometimes I also like listen jazz, like John Coltrane, Miles Davis or modern, darkjazz bands

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I've been on sail cruise, we were sailing from Dunkerque to Dover. I had to be on a board from 4 to 8 AM. But at about 6 AM the night passed by and in the light of dawn I saw beautiful, white cliffs near Dover. That was white line on the horizon that was getting wider and wider. Amazing view!

Once I've been in Barcelona and I was hosted by my friend and her boyfriend, who is native Catalan. The time, when we were in Barcelona, there was a great local feast, when teams of Castellers was building the towers of peoples. That towers reach about 15 metres or more! And our host was in this team! Because of him I became part of the team and I was the one of the people, who built towers! (One of about fifty, but it's not important ;) )

Insegna, impara, condividi

As an architecture student, I can teach something about drawing. I also can teach something about playing a piano and guitar. But about guitar, only basics :) And I can talk about sailing for hours!
I would like to learn about longboarding or skimboarding - this fancy, and now popular sports I find very interesting :)
