About Me

Hi, my name is Aleksa, and I'm a 24-year-old computer science student in Belgrade, Serbia! For the time being I live alone, and since I have a spare room with a bed, I thought it would be a perfect time to try out couch surfing. I've always wanted to do that but never had the courage, until now. 😄

My apartment is about 30 minutes away from the city center by public transport, and I would love to show you around Belgrade if you're interested. It's not a very big city but it does have a lot to offer.

I'm a very curious person by nature, so I find interest in a lot of different subjects. That's the same reason I love meeting new people.

I love photography and have been taking photos on my phone the last couple of years. Just now my friend lended me his Canon r6 for a week and i fell in love. Needless to say, I know what i'm saving my money towards next. 😂

A couple of months ago, I also started taking tango lessons and I really like it. Progress is going slow, but it's still really cool.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've realized that life is too short and we have to live it now! I want to take these opportunities that modern times have given us and live life to the fullest. Travel. Meet new people. Explore the world. It sounds like the biggest cliche ever, but it's true!

Music, Movies, and Books

I've loved music since I learned how to walk. Since i was little music was playing on the radio all day every day.
My whole family influenced my taste in music. My mom, dad, brother, uncle. They all have wildly different tastes in music and I was like a sponge just picking up everything.
Not much has changed now that I've grown up. Music is on basically 24/7 in my room. Mainly chill quiet music playing in the background. I would love to exchange some playlists with you!
P.S. Right now i'm listening to this masterpiece https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwVtIPeYIeQ

I was on a 1-2 year hiatus from watching movies, but now getting back into it by watching City of God (amazing movie). I loved 12 Angry Men, Fight Club...

Honestly I don't read as much as I would like to, but recently read Fahrenheit 451

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've walked 80km (40km the first, and another 40km the second day) as a part of the student movement in Serbia fighting against government corruption. The student movement started in late November of 2024 and has lasted (as of writing this on the 19.08.2025.) almost 9 months, and still going strong.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a beginner at guitar but if you know nothing at all, I would be glad to show you a couple chords!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer a spare room with its own key in my flat. I would be glad to cook dinner.

Countries I’ve Visited
