I grew up in St. Petersburg, studied for few years in Zürich and am now living in London.
St Pet feels very cozy and friendly to me -- that's one large comfort zone.
Zürich is somewhat more demanding and more academical -- guess university life has left its
stamp :) London is everything combined and I like it so much!

Some random areas of the world which I enjoy:

* Science and technological progress. I studied maths & computer science, so always
interested in recent advances in AI (let's hope GPT-3 doesn't take over the world before we meet...), genetics, statistical approach to making life better and its ethical implications

* Psychoanalysis. Have recently watched a series of lectures on YouTube about Freudean subconscious and Jungean archetypes and I think that's crazy interesting. I believe that living a happy life is not a trivial thing to do. Happy life is a result of a lot of work, so it's 100% worth it to spend time understanding my own and others' thoughts and emotions. That's the path to real well-being and serenity.

* Seeing beauty in the details. The pine in the forest is beautiful. The waves in the morning are beautiful. That's also why I like linguistics -- it feels like if you know more about word origins and various contexts, then you can express and share more feelings. So if you ever tried to read "Iliad" in Ancient Greek (I haven't gone further than the first two pages :D), "Die Faust" in German, "Hamlet" in English or "Мцыри" in Russian, then we will find a common topic

* Finance. That's my main area of occupation, so thoughts on American monetary politics, European crypto regulation, pros and cons of golden standard often visit my head. By the way, I once tried to make my own crypto startup with my friends and we almost succeeded!

* Dancing Lindy Hop. I'm only a beginner, but I really enjoy the atmosphere of the dance: so cozy, so friendly, so joyful, so active and with such a good music. Jazz is the best.

Favorite books: "The Master and Margarita", "White Fang", "Lord of the Rings", "Odyssey", "Hard to Be a God"
