About Me
Hi. My name is Alex. I’m from Russia.
It’s been 2.5 years of me travelling non-stop. I started travelling back then.
Traveling changes me and makes me be more communicative, social, more wise and learned.
While I'm on a journey I'm happy to go to some country and learn new things, meet new people, travelers and asking them about their experience and a way, share my experience.
Traveling is one the most important things for me I can tell about in the end of my days that I lived not in vain. And the one that makes me happy.
I’m writing a lot of notes on what happens daily with me.
I publish my journey on
instagram.com/amsterdanned
making posts where I am and about people I met along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This will be my 1st experience of couchsurfing even though I’m travelling a lot. I was staying at my friends’ place but never on couchsurfing yet. I am interested in stories of locals, their own way of traveling, asking for advices and getting my trip cheaper on accommodation. I'd also want to hang out and take drinks during nice conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books
Linkin park. Favourite band. But I don't stick to any specific genre. I’m learning DJing in Bangkok now.
I like either club or relaxing or music making me to think about smth or giving me an inspiration. EDM, house, jazz, blues for instance.
Films: House M.D., Fight Club, Toy Story 3, Finding Nemo, The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King, Life Of Pi, The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Books: The Hero with a Thousand Faces by Joseph Campbell, Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Alchemist is pretty remarkable. I can share this story. That’s how I went to pyramids second time 🙂
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So far one amazing I’m still doing is travelling a 2.5 year journey where I make friends around the world and in places I wouldn’t have even imagined to be. This journey has been full of crazy things. I was 2 times at Pyramids of Egypt, 3 days at Petra hiking, was in deserts and mountains of south Sinai, lived with Muslims in Türkiye, lived with Indian family, on an Indian wedding, spent time with Hindus in India, talked with palm readers and gurus, was in numerous pilgrimage places of different religions being as only tips of an iceberg.
Teach, Learn, Share
Improving skills in languages. I should practice speaking more Spanish, I’m learning it 😂 Asking about your experience and a way of traveling, sharing stories
What I Can Share with Hosts
Share an incredible and crazy story about wonderful salvation during my trip to Amsterdam when I nearly died and got reanimated :)
During that period I experienced Near Death Experience (NDE). It's one of the rarest experiences and brightest range of emotions people could ever experience and perceive... I wrote a story about it and got prize - a trip to Bali in the competition of stories. But there are plenty of other stories to share.
