About Me

We're having two about since we're 90% of the time traveling together :)

Aleks:

I’m teaching yoga, writing about my inner journey on my blog magicallifeofaleks.com, society, and life learnings while traveling the world with my soulmate Adam. I grow up in Switzerland, have Serbian roots but live as a nomad. And I see my mission in making a positive change in our world and hearts. I do this in form of teaching yoga and hosting empowerment workshops and writing very honestly and raw.

I was always the heartbroken girl. I never understood why. I thought I’m the poor one - till I realized that I’m in this game too. It’s not just the other person - it’s me too - I’m not feeling worthy enough, I’m not speaking and living my truth, I didn’t listen to my intuition.

Until one day I had enough. The day was in November 2014 - I just wanted to be happy. So I started to watch and change my negative patterns and beliefs.

And this journey led me from Zurich to Bali. And from Bali to Mexiko. And now I’m in Prague - what an adventure! :)

Adam (http://adammarcan.cz/):

I love to live a simple life with having less things and living more.

I believe that:

People are good in nature.
Only now matters.
Helping people makes me happy.
Animals are friends, not food.
Not deciding is always a bad decision.
Action expresses priorities.
Pain is certain, suffering is optional.
I am my own life designer.
My body is my house.
Thinking is less, feeling is more.
Every time you open your wallet, you vote for a world you want.
Fuck off perfection.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love to challenge ourselves and move out of our comfort zones and experience something we never did before. Since nomading/traveling is our lifestyle, we learned to sleep everywhere - so why not on your local couch?! :)) also meeting local people gives traveling a special kind of magic and you feel much more like you experienced a place and also learned something new from a different angle.

We love to just sit and talk - also about deeper things than just small talking and best travel tips :D

We're traveling with our aeropress and we LOVE to cook, so be ready to get a delicious dinner or breakfast from us :)))

Music, Movies, and Books

-We love Tom Rosenthal!! Just listen to his new songs - one of them is named PASTA :)
-Mostly we watch documentaries together - three touched as very deeply: Plastic China, Cowspiracy and The True Cost
-Actually I'm reading less at the moment because I (Aleks) left my kindle at our Couchsurfing place in Cologne and the next couchsurfer took it accidentally and it landed in Russia :D so I'm waiting for it to arrive!! There are two kinds of books I like: For going deep and expanding my horizon for example Taking the Leap: Freeing ourselves from bad habits by Pema Chödron or if I'm more in the mood to dream and just float away, Leo Tolstoi & Harry Potter.

Adam doesn't know his titles in English, since he's reading mostly in Czech but he loves the blog https://zenhabits.net/ and the minimalists podcast.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Aleks: I left Switzerland in October 2015 with a one-way ticket to Bali. Craziest decision EVER. I sold all my stuff, quit my job, gave up a permanent address and residence in Switzerland, packed my backpack and said goodbye! Since then I visited almost 20 countries, found my soulmate on Bali, completed my yoga teacher training in Costa Rica... I love nomading! :D and freeeeedom!

Adam: Great mixed eggs.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can make you some great food (or cook together) and also we're traveling with our aeropress and specialty coffee so we can make some great coffee :))) or sharing some breathing exercises.

What I Can Share with Hosts

-amazing vegan cooking skills :D (banana-chocolate-bread, delicious dips, homemade bread....just saying)
-yoga and meditation tips :)
-travel tips around the world since we're traveling a lot:))
-positive energy :))
