I'm a twenty-year-old girl from Poland that is currently spending her gap year as an au pair in USA. So far it was a great experience! Being able to live in another country in so many ways different than Poland gave me an opportunity to learn a lot about myself. It gave me time to grow, to see how much diversity is in the world. How many amazing people are there to meet. How many amazing stories are there to be heard. How many beautiful destinations is there to be seen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why am I on Couchsurfing? Well being an au pair showed me how many interesting people are there in the world. It gave a chance to meet people I would never be able to meet staying in my home country. People that I hope could become my lifelong friends. Despite our differences or maybe because of them. And that's why I'm on couchsurfing to meet people I would never meet otherwise. To share our stories, culture and experience. To see places not only as a tourist but also like a local.

Music, Movies, and Books

Choosing a favorite was always a hard job for me. Why choose when you can enjoy all? Why choose one favorite type of music when I need different music for my different mood. Sometimes I want to listen to 80s music with my host family, sometimes I want to sing out loud to radio songs. Other times I get sentimental and I listen to cheesy High School Musical songs. But I went to One Republic, Imagine Dragons and Coldplay concerts! So I guess they are my faves! hah As for the movies and books I like drama, comedy and thrilles. Depending on mood again I guess. And also in the USA I fell in love with going to the cinema #thankyoumoviepass

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Again with choosing! Only one thing?! Like you can probably tell I'm not the greatest at decision making. How did I ever decide to travel across the world to live there for a year?! Anyway I got to do some amazing things in my life. Flying a glider being one of them. Parasailing and snorkeling in Hawaii another. Spelunking was pretty cool too. I honestly can't choose a favorite. I don't even know if I want to but what I know for sure is that I want to get to do much more amazing things in my life. Things from I could choose a favorite but I probably won't anyway! :)
