About Me

Hi! My name is Aleksandra and I live in Warsaw, Poland. I'm a student and I collect my experiences in travelling. I've visited 18 countries so far, but I hope it's not the end. I'm also fond of reading books, theatre, photography, I can't live without contemporary jazz dance and love meeting new people, sharing impressions about different cultures. I'm never tired of trying something new :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I guess that broadening horizons is the essential point of travelling and I belive that there is no better way to aim that than by meeting new people and sharing experiences. I'd like to immerse in the culture of foreign country not only by visiting it, but also by meeting natives and making friends with them. I'm also open to host somebody in my place and help her or him to find out polish culture and way of life :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'mm open-minded person and I listen different kinds of music, but my favourite ones are rock and classical music. I also like ethnic and celtic music very much. In terms of books my the most beloved ones are "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" written by Richard Bach and "The Little Prince" Antoine de Saint-Exupery (this one was used to be my favourite in childhood, but I'm still a big fan of it), some written by Hemingway, Steinbeck or Fitzgerald are also great... I'm in love with polish and russian poetry as well :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

It seems to me that improving language is crucial element of travelling, so I treat coucherfing also like a great opportunity to use more english or russian or to learn french.
