Overview
About Me
Sensitive to a beauty of nature, romantic and outdoorsy girl.
Sincere and with a friendly attitude.
Amateur runner and climber. Starting an adventure in rope access.
Physically strong, despite a diminutive stature. Sturdy on a trail.
Resistant to inconveniences beyond civilization.
Member of Amnesty International, Polskie Towarzystwo Tatrzańskie, IRATA and ÖAV.
Climate activist at Rodzice dla Klimatu - Parents for Future PL.
Former fancial analyst and investor relations analyst (ooops, I did it again!)
Since I remember I've always been in love with the mountains. They have taught me responsibility, partnership and humbleness. As one man said 'Mountains intoxicated, the man addicted to them is beyond remedy. You can overcome alcoholism, drug addiction, weakness for medicines. The fascination with the mountains you cannot.'
Some days I am more wolf than woman and I am still learning how to stop apologising for my wild.
— Nikita Gill
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Nice dress, high heel and red lips in challenging work in a corporation. Backpack, sleeping bag, trekking shoes, sometimes with crampons and happy mind at the weekends. It was not the life I dreamed of, thus it's high time to change the proportion, to go ahead with the philosophy 'wherever you go, go with all your heart.'
One of my dreams came true: Pamir Highway and Wakhan Corridor. But I`d like to come back there by bike. What next? Trek in Zagros mountains, camp in the middle of Kamchatka, meet the Persian culture, climb in Patagonia and Yosemite, feel the harsh climate of Iceland, see aurora borealis in Yukon, hear Tuareg music in Timbuktu.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love a non-fiction literature. Reportages from the exploration of mountains, travels and socio-political, e.g. modern history of the Balkans, the Middle East, the Caucasus, Central Asia and Africa. Kapuscinski, Theroux, Jagielski, Tochman, Biedzki. However, the literary work which I`d like to read most in the original is Macbeth by Shakespeare :)
My musical taste has evolved, starting from rock legends, prog rock, alternative, gothic metal, sung poetry to world music, e.g. Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Pearl Jam, Archive, Tides From Nebula, Bokka, Łąki Łan, Riverside, The Gathering, Epica, Tracy Chapman, Fatoumata Diawara, Gasandji, Tinariwen, Tamikrest, Ali Farka Touré, Bassekou Kouyate, Omar Souleyman, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, DakhaBrakha, Folknery, and Joryj Kłoc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Logging out to life!
Resigning a prestigious steady job after 6 years of a dissatisfactory role as the financial analyst. For the realisation of dreams. For more time for myself and family. For better mental health.
Where am I now? I work in the forest and I am happy like never before in my whole life :)
(...Should I update the description? After 5-6 years... Ha, ha, definitely! Now I am a mom of two wonderful boys)

Try to make at least one person happy every day. If you cannot do a kind deed, speak a kind word. If you cannot speak a kind word, think a kind thought. Count up, if you can, the treasure of happiness that you would dispense in a week, in a year, in a lifetime!
