About Me

I'm Alex, born and raised in Wroclaw, Poland, but as I can't sit in one place for too long, I try to travel as much as life allows. Having spent unforgettable time backpacking and couchsurfing in Mexico, I am now living in Scotland, doing research on renal cancer and trying to escape to explore around as much as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Too meet other travelers, listen to amazing stories and hopefully be able to tell some of mine!

Interests

I spend any spare moment outdoors, walking and exploring or having a good read. Trip to a cinema? Sign me up! I never say no to a good play at a theatre or art exhibition.

I’m very passionate about science communication, environment and, of course, travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I absolutely adore latinamerican writers, such as Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Isabel Allende. My favourite books are The Autumn of the Patriarch (Marquez), On the Road (Kerouac) and Crime and Punishment (Dostoyevsky), so quite a diverse choices!

Psychological thrillers and mystery stories are my definitive faves, but hey, who doesn't sometimes need a good comedy or a love story!

I listen to indie music probably the most, but I love discovering new artists and eclectic sounds.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snorkeling in 5 different spots in coral reef in Mexico (2 in Tulum, Cozumel, Akumal, Puerto Morelos)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to improve my Spanish, learn even more about various cultures and hear about adventures.
I can teach some languages that I speak, Polish is apparently the hardest language in the World!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Positive energy, random life stories, adventures. I love hanging out with new people but also exploring on my own.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
