ABOUT ME

It's quite simple. We tried the prescribed lifestyle of a 9-5 job, and the life of artists, and the life of students. We found that none of those lifestyles exist in a vacum, they intertwined, but they are also missing something very important. They don't have a sense of movement. So without being metaphorical we added that other dimension to our lives, packed up our stuff, bought a truck and traveled the USA and beyond. We didn't have much money, so we were relying on our skills and sheer luck and kindness to keep us on the journey. We were looking for a perspective on the world (perhaps that is the simplest answer). When we came back almost a year later something was different... We couldn't place our finger on it. The pulse was fuller and robust. We got engaged and are now working on a top secret project that can only be disclosed to those that visit us.

Keep your mind open to everything, don't believe in anything until you need to, laugh a lot!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

(written before reading teach.learn.share and before our big trip)
We would like to incorporate the itinerant lifestyle with a barter system. Our aim is not only to crash on couches but to exchange skills, ideas, and sources of intellect. For example, Marlo and I are both good cooks (but we can learn to be better). We are also film-makers (working in various fields of the medium). We know a bit about social media and education. We would like to learn about self-sustainable living. About agriculture and mycology, Marlo is interested in Shamanic healing arts and psychomagic, and many other fields. This may all sound like bologna, but to us being in one place is redundant (not that we didn't know how to use our time). In fact Marlo had attained his dream job and was being paid to write and direct film, while I was showing art in galleries and making my own clothes (What more could a person want?) a lot more.

Interests

Just about everything. Passions are focused on for Aleks: Knives, Psychomagic movement, Overlanding, Literature (writing and reading), Mycology, self-sustainable living, live video shows, Combat/martial arts (Krav Maga practitioner),Qi Gong, building stuff, making himself and others laugh, cooking, packing, unpacking, taking stuff apart, adventures, propagating the mythology of the pilgrims.
Lulu Passions: Self-sustainable living, clothes making, cooking and baking, reading & writing, designs, dreaming, grooming, music & music making, travel gear, obscure traveling magazines, and as of recent Massage Therapy...

Aleks is in the process of relaunching his media agency, Penguin City Inc.
and has currently recieved funding to develop his interactive play, Jewish Lightnin'.
He is also involved in various Art initiatives that focus on personal transfiguration.

Lulu has been accepted to the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine for Massage therapy .
