About Me
CURRENT MISSION
...to be happy, meet open-minded, free-spirited, easy going, fun people and travel as much as possible!
ABOUT ME
Over all, I'm easy-going, out-going and like to have fun by hiking, exploring new places, documentary watching, concert going, trying different foods or by socializing and experiencing different cultures.
PHILOSOPHY
Live life to the fullest one day at a time! No regrets - everything happens for a reason!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Over the last 10+ years since joining this awesome project, I've hosted many CSers and have surfed on a few couches myself.
Currently I have a tiny studio apartment in Berkeley and not much space to host but would be willing to meet for the proverbial "coffee" or to show you around if you're passing through and would like some company.
Interests
Syncopated beats, international travels, meeting interesting/good people, experiencing different cultures and learning other languages; if money were no object, I would spend all my time doing just that. Ideally, I'd love to live in as many countries as possible, preferably staying in each country at least a year or two. My other passion is music and pretty much anything associated with it (ie, dancing, singing, listening, karaoking, etc.)

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste (as well as my food taste) is very diverse. I love just about everything from Carl Orf's Carmina Burana to Polish hip-hop group, Kaliber 44, to Madonna, Ojos de Brujo, Jarabe de Palo, Miss Kittin, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Kachiporros, Nicola Conte, Fiona Apple, Julieta Venegas, Air, Bebel Gilberto, Radiohead, Bjork, Mum, Poncho Sanchez, Brazillian Girls, Breakestra, Thievery Corporation, Maite Hontele, Celia Cruz....etc. One of my favorite books is "Geography of Bliss" by Eric Weiner. If you haven't heard about it - check it out-- I think most couchsurfers could definitely relate to its message. : ) Some of my all-time favorite movies are Strictly Ballroom,
Saving Grace, Dancer in the Dark, 7 Cajas, Lengua de Mariposas, and Frida.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One is too limiting...so I'll list my top 3! 1) Backpacking through the breathtaking coast of the Mediterranean Sea and its cliffs of the beaufiful Cinque Terra trails, in Northwest Italy in summer of 2002 (after my awasome year abroad in Barcelona). 2) Exploring jungles and waterfalls of South American rainforests while serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Encarnación, Paraguay. 3) Fishing for and swimming with pirahnas in the Paraguayan Rio Negro on the triple border with Bolivia and Brazil in the beautiful Pantanal!
