Overview
About Me
I grew up in Poland, currently stealing jobs and university places from the locals in the UK. At the very moment I am completing my research master and then embarking onto a PhD from September on. What am I researching? Let's say it involves flying drones and shooting lasers at trees.
Lived in beautiful old Edinburgh for four years and then, after finally learning to understand Scottish accent I decided to embrace a new challenge - Geordie. After two years living in Newcastle, I'm still struggling.
I know a lot of random facts, which makes me great at pub quizzes and trivial pursuit, but useless at life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It provides me with a great opportunity to meet new amazing people from all around the world and different paths of life. I used to move around the UK quite frequently and Couchsurfing helped me to make friends in all the new places. I have hosted many amazing people in my flat in Edinburgh and hope to be able to visit fellow Couchsurfers once time allows.
Interests
I like trying new things, sometimes even against my better judgement - I am terrified of heights, yet I decided to start climbing. Not that I am any good at it, but conquering my fears feels great. I love spending time in nature, whether on a bike or just having a walk.
I also enjoy good food and beer in a good company. I love cooking and exploring world cuisines. Maybe you could teach me some new recipes?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One day I just decided to drop everything and buy a one way ticket to Edinburgh. I have never since had any regrets.
Climbed into a cave hidden behind a waterfall flowing from the flank of Eyjafjallajokull (I can even pronounce it) and experienced the wild, tourist-free Iceland.
