Overview
About Me
I'm a college student, currently living in Philadelphia to pursue my masters degree. I moved to the US 3 months ago, after living 15 years in India and 7 years in Malawi.
I enjoy programming to a certain extent, but it never felt like it was my calling. It gets especially frustrating when I have to spend a week to resolve a missing semicolon(urghhhhhh).
I love to be thrown into something unfamiliar. Admittedly, I go through a whole rollercoaster of emotions, but it's kinda fun.
I plan to work for a few years, develop a source of income, quit my job, and start traveling.
I'm new to couchsurfing, but I'm really really really excited to try it out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm tired of saying, 'I'm gonna go on a trip once I finish highschool', 'oh college already started, I guess I'll go after undergrad', 'too busy applying to a new country, will have to wait till the end of grad school'.
Couchsurfing is perfect for me for 2 reasons:
1. It satisfies my constant need for experiencing something new
2. Budget friendly for a college student
Like, the whole concept is so fucking exciting!!! scary, but exciting.

Music, Movies, and Books
I recently read 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami and it just blew my mind. But I mostly enjoy YA fantasy adventures, BLs are my guilty pleasure.
I don't watch too much movies, but I've been binging every show Gordan Ramsay is on recently.
Music, I listen to different kinds, but most of them are mainstream pop.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love sharing my Indian culture. Our food, religion, habits, language, etc.
I feel like most of everything people know about my country is from stereotypes, and they aren't completely accurate sometimes.
I also love diving into others culture, and discovering all the differences and similarities.
I love how experiencing others cultures always changing something about me, like, I'll pick up a habit or change my perspective, or start using phrases or hand gestures.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm not entirely sure what is expected from a guest, but I'm good at household chores.
I'm not an amazing cook, but I can cook a bit of Indian food(bonding over food is the best), and I lovee chatting and making friends.
I don't have much to offer at the moment. It's the start of my journey, it's only going to get better from here.
Countries I’ve Lived In
