About Me

Hello everyone, my name is Alena I am 19 years old and I live in Germany. After having finished school in March 2018 I spent my time jobbing, travelling and relaxing. To me, the travelling part was the most fun which is why I want to take more trips in 2019. I was thinking maybe England, Ireland, Faroe Islands, Spain, Croatia the Czech Republic and Portugal. But nothing's clear yet. :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to meet new people, when traveling alone. This year will be my first time solo traveling and I am TERRIFIED! :D Couchsurfing is the easiest way to connect with locals and other travellers in general. I like the idea of meeting like-minded people. Furthermore, staying with locals is rich in variety compared to staying in a hotel.
Also I've done AirBnb before and I really liked the experiences I had there! I feel like CS is the same, just more intense.

Music, Movies, and Books

Two Door Cinema Club, Panic! At the disco, You Me At Six, Enter Shikari, Fall Out Boy, Twenty One Pilots and Linkin Park are just some of the bands I love listening to.
The last book I read was “The long way to a small angry planet” by Becky Chambers and a German book called “Against the Hate”. I’d recommend them both 😊
Movies... I guess I'd watch every genre, really- except horror.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learned to love and respect myself.
Oh, and I'll never forgot sleeping under the Sahara Night Sky!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My views on the world and its inhabitants. :D
No but really, I don’t think I could share any specific skills like “how to do this or that” with the people I meet, like I’m not a yoga teacher. But I do consider myself to be a thinker and if anybody’s interested I’m happy to share my thoughts on all topics that interest me.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, England, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Palestine, Poland, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
