I am 29 years old, currently living in Sydney Australia and about to move to Vancouver Canada with my partner Dan. We're ambitious travellers usually trying to do more than there is hours in the day to do. Not always after the main tourist attractions, but in awe of the natural wonders of the world and looking for adventures which keep us active and fit(ish) to offset the fact that we love to try all of the food I can find from other parts of world.
We're currently planning a 3 week road trip around the USA with a roughly informal schedule before crossing over north of the border to commence our IEC visas and see where life takes us.

We're looking to get off the usual tourist path, make some new friends around the world and meet some locals and get inside advice on where the locals go and explore and eat.
We also hope to put ourselves in a position to host in the future, and both return the favors and pay it forward. It seems a wonderful way to travel and see the good in the world.

We enjoy cooking together. Our skills are basic but if you have tips and skills to share and teach us from either your own culture or cultures you've experienced we're always keen for new ideas! Dan makes a pretty darn good guac.
I (Alena) have a love for trapeze and acrobalance. I can share some very basic skills or would love to learn them from you. I'm all about the base! I will admit that I've been out of practice and my 4 y/o nephew is my most consistent buddy :o)
Dan can talk to you about sports all day if you're that way inclined, I will probably zone out or read a book or something! He loves his footy and pro wrestling and actually just any sports. He will gladly hang with you and enjoy any kind of sports while I zone out and read or something :-)
