ABOUT ME

I am Russian, currently living in South Africa. I'm an experienced traveller, I like to fly cheap, but live with comfort. I try to learn as much as possible about how people live in the place I'm at. I like good food and cook myself. An amateur enophile.
I like to get around with a map in one hand and an interesting book about the place I'm in in another. I always visit picture galleries and classical music performances. If not, i settle with public library and a botanical garden. Have 2 cats

I believe living with locals is the best way to experience the new place and I also like to help others.

Interests

Reading or making up stories, cats, urban photograpy, cooking, biking or walking. Botanical gardens and public libraries. If I'm in a really good mood, I draw. Mostly graphics, but sometimes I paint.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got lost in night-time Venice, found a book about Florence in downtown New York and visited more public libraries and botanical gardens than all of my friends alltogether.

I can cook some Russian and Georgian dishes, share my passion for sci-fi and fantasy (Doctor Who, Firefly, Tolkien and Harry Potter) and I definetly can explain Russia because that's my favourite country.
