My mission is to visit the most beautiful places in the wold and just enjoy life and learn from all the difference experiences, cultures and people! The life is not made to stay just at one place!

ABOUT ME

My name is Alena, I'm 21 years old and finished school in 2013. Since then I was living 8 months in Spain and travelled through South America for 5 months. Now I live in Cologne, Germany studying Latin American Studies. I'm a openminded and creative girl and try to travel as much as I can. I love hanging out with random people and share experience and stories with them.

PHILOSOPHY

I am young and never had to worry about my personal liberty like I would have if I was raised in another country. That's why I want to live my life, especially now and not always say that I will do things one day in the future because who knows if I will be able to then.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Until now I have already made great experience with Couchsurfing around the world. Starting with Spain, then all around South America and latly in Germany itself. And I can just say, that I had the best times at my hosts places.

Interests

I'm first of all interested in the cities I visit but not only the touristic part. It's sometimes kind of difficult as a tourist to find the typical native areas which are often even more interesting to get to know.
I'm totally interested in history and the cultural background but also just hang out and enjoy the city life by a walk or relish the nature.
Especially food is what I love! Just try everything doesn't matter how weird it looks like or how different and strange it tastes. In my opinion people who don't like trying local food have never really been to these countries. You can't just visit all the places, you have to feel and taste them. Thats my mission!

Music, Movies, and Books

Actually I don't have one single taste of music. I listen to almost everything and I know that there is a good deal more music in the world which I don't know yet and I look forward to get to know different types!
I neither have only one genre of movies and books I watch/read.
I like action-/fantasy-/love-/classic- and historical books and movies. Some people would say that I am a person who can't make up my mind but I would just say that I am totally openminded to everything.
